Pancrase has recently announced three fights for their upcoming "Rising 6" show that will be held at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The main bout announced is Izuru Takeuchi vs. Bryan Rafiq. This fight will be for the middleweight #1 contender spot, and a chance to take on middleweight King of Pancrase Yuichi Nakanishi. The very experienced Takeuchi is coming into the fight off of win against Daisuke Wantanabe at Pancrase Rising 4. His opponent Rafiq is fairly new to Pancrase. He made his debut on the Rising 4 card, with a victory over Hikaru Sato. Rafiq hails from France and is a representitive of bodogFIGHT. He has very good submissions, and some solid strikes.
In other matches we'll see Ryo Kawamura, who had his 1st career blemish at the hands of Chute Boxe member Fabio Silva at Pancrase Rising 5, take on Jaime Fletcher. Fletcher will be making his Pancrase debut and brings a 7-1 record into the fight, along with some K-1 experience. Also on the card will be a featherweight bout that will feature Mitsuhisa Sunabe against Koji Yoshimoto. Sunabe is the favored and more experienced fighter in this one. He better not overlook Yoshimoto, who looks to make a name for himself and climb the Pancrase ranks.
