Takanori Gomi to K-1 HERO'S?

There are major rumors circulating the net that PRIDE Lightweight Champion Takanori Gomi may be headed to K-1 HERO'S or even possibly back to Shooto. Signing with K-1 HERO'S would make alot of sense as Gomi loves to fight in front of his home country fans, and feeds off of their energy. He's also struggled in his last two fights on U.S. soil, losing both matches by submission.

If he were to sign with K-1, there would be many interesting matches to be had. K-1 HERO'S features other top LW fighters such as Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro, Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto, and Gesias "JZ" Calvancanti. Those are three matches that MMA fans across the globe would love to see happen.

Interestingly, Gomi has also mentioned returning to Shooto, the organization where he began his MMA career back in 1998. Going back to Shooto wouldn't really do much for his career as far as facing top competition. It could be a great place to pick up some wins and restore a little bit of confidence though. Gomi was 12-1 in his previous Shooto stint. His only loss in Shooto cames at the hands of Joachim Hansen.
