It was confirmed earlier today at www.Sherdog.com that Kevin Ferguson aka Kimbo Slice has signed a multi-fight deal with EliteXC. Kimbo was supposed to battle Tank Abbott this weekend in the main event for the CFFC promotion, but that event was cancelled due to financial backer, backing out.
After that fight was scrapped, a few different organizations tried to revive the fight. Amongst those organizations were the Lemoore, CA based Palace Fighting Championship, Canadian based HCF, and EliteXC. The latter of the three being the most established organization, won the bidding war.
Kimbo is expected to make his EliteXC debut next month at an event in Texas. His rumored opponents are PRIDE vet James Thompson and Tank Abbott, who he was already set to fight. Check back here for the latest news on the upcoming EliteXC card.
