Hioki Defeated at Shooto 'GIG Central 13'

Former PRIDE fighter and current TKO featherweight champion Hatsu Hioki has had it rough of late. After a nice run which saw him beat the likes of Jeff Curran and Mark Hominick (twice), he has lost his last two fights in the Shooto promotion.

His most recent loss came on Monday at the Shooto 'GIG Central', where he battled Korean fighter Jong Man Kim. Kim is a relative unknown in the MMA world, even though he has been around since 2003. He had previously lost to Masakazu Imanari at DEEP 31st Impact in August.

Here are the results from the event:

-Jong Man Kim def. Hioki Hatsu by decision (split)
-Yoshitaro Niimi def. Keisuke Sakai by decision (unanimous)
-Shinichi Hanawa def. Hiroshi Sakamoto by decision (unanimous)
-Tomokazu Yuasa def. Toshihiko Sugimoto by decision (unanimous)
-Takesuke Kume def. Yuasa Takuya Sato by submission (rear naked choke) r1, 1:11
