In an action packed event we saw one title change, and another champion lose in a non-title bout. In the main event non-title bout, DEEP welterweight champion Hidehiko Hasegawa took on undefeated Korean phenom Dong Hyun Kim. With Kim being known for his great striking ability, Hasegawa had no choice but to constantly try to take the fight to the ground. He had most of his takedowns stuffed, and Kim fought him off with a very good sprawl, some punches, and knees. Kim eventually won the fight when he suplexed the champion onto his head and followed that up with some nice GnP which gave the ref no choice but to stop the fight.
In the women's lightweight title bout Hisae Watanabe did her best to fight off the contender Miku Matsimoto. The very aggressive Miku came out right away with strikes and a takedown. Both fighters had to fight off their share of submission attempts. In the end it was Miku's striking from the bottom which got her the victory on the judge's scoredcards and eared her the women's lightweight title.
Also on the card was PRIDE-vet and current DEEP and Cage Rage Featherweight champion Masakazu Imanari. Imanari took on Korean fighter Jong Man Kim. The ground wizard Imanari made quick work of Kim submitting him with an armbar in the 1st round.
